? Why do I have Black Streaks on some sections of my roof?

The black streaks are from fungus spores that feed on the limestone content in the shingles. In most cases, the streaks will be found on the north side of the roof or sections that get the least amount of direct sunlight. However, in severe cases the fungus may cover the entire roof including sections that have direct sunlight for the majority of the day.

? What are those black dots in my siding and why can’t they be removed?

There referred to as “artillery dots” which is a fungus that grows into the siding and can be found on metals railings even automobiles. They thrive around boxwood shrubs and mulch. Unfortunaley, there is no cure and they can not be removed or washed off.

? When washing my house are the front entry landing, foundation brick work and front walk included in the price?

Yes, I include all of the above. However extra charges apply for decks, patios, driveways, etc.

? Will removing the roof stains and cleaning my roof damage the shingles?
No, I use a low pressure rinse that is comparable to a garden hose to rinse
away the dirt & grime. However, if the roof shingles are brittle, I don't
recommend washing even with the low pressure rinse.

? Will the cleaners damage my shrubs and plants?
No, the cleaners used are biodegradable and will not affect the plant life.
The plants are sprayed with water before the wash process begins
and rinsed during the wash process.

? Do I need to move any potted plants, lawn or patio furniture, grills
etc?
What ever articles can be moved would be a great help to us especially
large item such as gas grills.

? How long should we stay off areas that have been sealed such as decks, patios, walks and driveways?
In most cases, 24 to 48 hours should be adequate for the product to cure.
During very humid period of weather additional drying time may be required.

? Can my property be washed on a rainy day?
Yes, rainy days are an excellent time to wash unless it's pouring cats and
dogs. The overcast and moisture assists the cleaners in doing there job
being that they won't dry as quickly as on sunny day.

? Can my deck be stained or sealed when wet?
No, the products that I use require the deck to be free of standing water
although they can be applied if the surface is damp.
